The Office of Technology Transfer and Economic Development (TTED) serves as the focal point for technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, business development, and economic development at Missouri University of Science and Technology. As such, TTED functions as a resource for the development, dissemination, and implementation of enabling discoveries to commercial partners. TTED actively brings together the organizations, resources, and processes that will efficiently develop the University's discoveries for the betterment of society.
TTED helps University faculty and students transfer technologies and create start-up businesses by bringing new technologies to the widest possible audience through the commercialization of discoveries. Through its programs and services, TTED is laying the ground-work for the creation of new products, new jobs, and new opportunities for America.
To efficiently accomplish these goals, TTED operates a Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and a Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC). Both groups work closely with the University of Missouri's Office of Research and Economic Development to provide responsive, professional service to our faculty, students, and industry partners to facilitate the creation of wealth, jobs, and opportunities for faculty, staff, students, and businesses within the state of Missouri.
