The mission of the Missouri S&T Office of Sponsored Programs is to enhance and facilitate University research and external funding by providing services, in a timely and professional manner, to all persons involved with sponsored program activities.
The University of Missouri Extension is a partnership of the University of Missouri campuses, Lincoln University, the people of Missouri through county extension councils, and the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Using science-based knowledge, University of Missouri Extension engages people to understand change, solve problems and make informed decisions.
Small Business and Technology Business Development Center
A partnership between Missouri S&T and University of Missouri Extension, the Missouri S&T Small Business and Technology Business Development Center provides information, training and business counseling to the University's faculty and students, Missouri entrepreneurs, and small business owners and managers located in the south central region of Missouri. Funded in part by a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The Missouri S&T Missouri Federal and State Technology Partnership Center provides information, training, and counseling about the federal R&D grants program to the University's faculty and Missouri's entrepreneurs interested in pursuing and obtaining SBIR funding for new product development.

Phelps County Extension Center
A partnership between University of Missouri Extension and Phelps County provides business training and counseling to small business and entrepreneurs in a five county in Missouri's south central region.
The Rolla Regional Economic Commission interacts with key business, government, and institutional leaders as well as economic and community developers throughout the region.

Ft Leonard Wood Liaison Office
Missouri S&T is intensely interested in research and economic development that is possible through the local Army installation, Fort Leonard Wood. The Fort is located about 30 miles west of Rolla on Interstate 44. The post is home to the US Army Engineer School, the Military Police School and the Chemical School. The liaison office is at the University of Missouri Research Park at Fort Leonard Wood.
The Leonard Wood Institute or "LWI" is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization and was formed to support the development, transfer and utilization of new technologies developed or provided in Missouri that have applicability to the U.S. Army's mission at Fort Leonard Wood and to the technology needs of the Department of Defense on a world-wide basis.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development is dedicated to increasing the wealth of Missouri manufacturers and technology-based business ventures by improving their ability to compete in a global economy.
The MTC is charged by law with being a focal point for creating better ways Missouri businesses can interface with universities in order to solve technical and productivity issues; for bringing more research funding and emphasis to Missouri universities, especially involving the life sciences, information technology and advanced manufacturing; and for creating and managing a system to transfer new discoveries into the marketplace in order to create companies and jobs.
